McCain's Katrina Kerfuffle - FactCheck.org
Fri Jun 6, 2008
Katrina was forcast long before it ever happened. About a year prior there was a documentary that depicted New Orleans as a city in a huge bowl. That a major storm would wipe it out. They used Galveston as an example---it was only about 8 feet above sea level. They had far less technology back then.
Beating $4 Gas with a $1 Bus - TIME

Fri Jun 6, 2008

It's official: Caribbean monk seal is extinct
Fri Jun 6, 2008
Since the last sighting was in 1952 and it was not declared endangered until nearly two decades later, and there were only around 250,000 in the population, why is the assumption that it was human influence alone that caused the extinction.
